Scarborough Stakes 2023 Race Details
Race 8 at Moonee Valley Racecourse on Friday the 29th September 2023.
The Scarborough Stakes is a 1200 metre set weights race for three-year-old fillies run by the Moonee Valley Racing Club in September. It is held at Moonee Valley at the Friday night Moir Stakes meeting.

Scarborough Stakes 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Clear
Thirteen fillies have accepted for the $200,000 Group 3 Scarborough Stakes. This is a typical looking fillies race with a host of chances! The Queenslander Skirt The Law is the current favourite from Shesallshenanigans. Both come through the Cap D’Antibes at Flemington.
Scarborough Stakes 2023 Runner by Runner
1. Skirt The Law (6)
Liked her effort first up behind the talented Charm Stone at Caulfield. Good again last start for third at Flemington. That looks the right form and she has drawn beautifully in six.
2. Shesallshenanigans (1)
Was a surprise winner at big odds last start in the Cap DÁntibes. But I thought there was a bit of substance behind that win and see no reason why she can’t win again.
3. Lazzago (5)
She worked home okay at Randwick last start. Think she is limited and looking for further.
4. Ulanova (8)
Ex Kiwi who was well supported in the Quezette first up. Did not fire there but has looked good in a jump out since and gets the winkers on for the first time.
5. Inhibitions (9)
Winner here two back, then second in the Atlantic Jewel here last start. In the mix.
6. Bossy Nic (12)
McEvoy resumer. Has jumped out quite nicely and ratings say she can be right there. The barrier is the knock.
7. Cigar Flick (10)
Chris Waller trained mare. Has been racing well behind the very talented Tiz Invincible. Draw is a concern.
8. Chilled (7)
Had bias favours at Sandown last time but gets a huge jockey change with J Kah going on for the apprentice. Will also be fitter for that.
9. Austmarr (2)
She was a huge win against the bias at Sandown last start. If she can step away clean she has a chance here.
10. Sicilian (4)
Was disappointing last start at Flemington following a good run in the Quezette.
11. Zourion (13)
Unbeaten Kiwi who won a Group 2 in NZ at her last start in February. Hard horse to line up but is from a good stable and has been met with early support!
12. Coeur Volante (3)
Resumes. Was very impressive winning at Sandown before the break. Has upside.
13. Annie’s Rose (11)
Got the cash at $101 at Bendigo on debut! Doubt she will be getting it here.
