The Princess Stakes is a Listed race held at Doomben Racecourse and is run over 1615 metres. It is for fillies aged three-years-old and is run under set weight conditions. The total prize money is $160,000 this year.

Princess Stakes 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Wolverine has been frustrating for punters thus far. Has the class edge on this field but the wide draw and lack of winning strike rate has me avoiding it. Street Gossip maps kindly and brings in some nice form lines. Divine Purpose just keeps winning and thats better than what most of these are doing. Beautiful Heart was excellent last start with a strong win while Miss Faberge has enough class to measure up.
Princess Stakes 2023 Runner by Runner
1. Wolverine (15)
Every possible hope under the sun last start and couldn’t put them away. Best horse in the field but lack of winning strike rate a concern and no favours with the draw. Can’t have. Will get back and flash late.
2.Tyresa (12)
Can’t have.
3. Binding (7)
Solid last start win but much harder here. Prefer others.
4. Divine Purpose (10)
Keeps winning and finds a suitable stakes race. Tricky draw but is a line finder and a top three chance in this.
5. Madame Odette (18)
Tough draw but should improve from the first up run, will just need a bit to go right when trying to slot in.
6. Super Chilled (3)
Needs to improve but has the right race to do so and gets the gun draw. In the mix.
7. Miss Faberge (9)
She has god ability and should get a nice tow into the race from the draw. Likeable at good odds.
8. Original Glaze (14)
Can’t have.
9. Veandechance (19)
This looks too tough.
10. Lady Le Da (11)
Needs easier.
11. Street Gossip (3)
Nice map and good last start win. Like the NSW form lines over here and should get a good run in transit from barrier 3. Hard to beat.
12. Cottee (1)
Putting together some good wins and should get every hope from barrier 1. Right in the mix against these.
13. Street Glory (5)
Can’t have it the way it is going.
14. Beautiful Heart (6)
Good last start win but much harder here. Keep an eye on the market.

Can’t have it the way it is going.

In the mix with the kind draw and is set to peak in this. Can win.
