A 1300 metre battle where Princess Grace comes up favourite. Drawn the pole position and she will make her presence felt. Tycoon Evie was very unlucky last start and finds the right race to make amends. Never Talk is hard to catch but was enormous last start and if it is within firing range can give this race a shake. Expat warrants respect if finding its best form and should go forward.

Good AUS debut. Maps well to do no work and getting on top of the ground should help. Well placed in this field and will be hard to beat.

2. Expat (7)

Mixing form lately but flies over this trip with 3 wins from 5 goes. Can plonk on the speed and give a bold sight but overdue for another win now.

3. Larkspur Run (3)

Needs to lift.

4. Tycoon Evie (14)

Very unlucky last start and gets the right race to atone. Tricky draw but has a good running pattern and has been very well tried in early markets. Excellent hope.

5. Bring The Ransom (2)

Far from the worst in this and gets back to the right race. Maps well and is worth keeping safe.

6. Written Beauty (6)

Want to see it win again before considering.

7. Barossa Rosa (16)

Has to lift on form.

8. More Prophets (15)

Poor running pattern and way too hard to catch. Can’t have.

9. Meg (8)

Should improve with the run under the belt and maps to get a nice tow into the race. Wouldn’t shock at big odds.

10. Never Talk (13)

Excellent effort last start. Has the get back run on pattern and while be requiring luck on that basis but goes in the mix here if things fall into place for it.

11. Katalin (12)

Had excuses its past few runs and should be an improver in this. Hard to beat.

12. Sur La Mer (10)

Market watch fresh and the J-Mac booking shows good intent here on its chances.

13. Nicci’s Fling (4)

Can’t have.

14. Dalchini (18)

Prefer others.

15e. Short Shorts (17)

Going well but might find this too tough from out there.

Can’t have.

17e. Duchy Of Savoy (11)

Prefer in something easier.

Good return win. Very hard horse to catch but may have improved more. Keep an eye on the market.
