Race 7 at Hawkesbury racecourse on Saturday the 22nd of April 2023.
The Hawkesbury Guineas is a Group 3 race held at Hawkesbury Racecourse and is run over 1400 metres. It is run under set weights and penalties conditions and is for horse aged three-years-old. The total prize money is $200,000 this year.

Hawkesbury Guineas 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Quality field engaged. The Fortune Teller staved off challengers in the wet last time. Back onto drier ground here but should prove hard to get past. Hawaii Five Oh has plenty of class about it and maps well from the draw. Razeta was a winner at huge odds for us 2 weeks back and can do the same in this. Nicely placed and gets the kind draw with Dylan Gibbons doing the steering. Kote and Atmosphere round out the chances.
Hawkesbury Guineas 2023 Runner by Runner
1. The Fortune Teller (12)
Should plonk on the speed and give a great sight in this field. Tough draw and carries weight but must be respected off a very good last start win.
2. Kote (8)
Quality galloper but has been hard to catch this prep. Happy to avoid it at the odds but goes in the mix off its form.
3. Hell I Am (2)
Form has tapered off a little. More than capable galloper that gets a kind draw. Goes in the mix.
4. True Crime (9)
Hoped for a bit more last start but was a very good winner prior. In the mix in a suitable race.
5. Sizzle Minizzle (13)
Surprise winner in the Country Championships last start. The form has stood up out of the race and see no reason why it can’t win again.
6. Atmosphere (11)
Good run last start. Needs to navigate the wide draw but in the right race. Goes close.
7. Hawaii Five Oh (4)
Racing well but D-Day here. Proven at this level, maps well and Nash on so ticks plenty of boxes. Due for a win.
8. Territory Express (3)
Can’t have.
9. Razeta (5)
Got the job done for us 2 weeks back as value of the day. Rates the best out of this lot and should be just as effective on dry ground. Gibbon
10. A Lot More Love (6)
Hard enough to beat but prefer in the wet. Respect any market moves.
11. Avebury (10)
Good winner 2 back but battled last run. Suspect on the Wolverine form. Prefer others.
12. Mumbai Jewel (14)
Prefer others.

Prefer others.
