He has been runner-up at both starts this campaign. Finished 0.3 length 2nd in the Listed Abell Stakes over 1200m at Moonee Valley when resuming, then fought hard to only go down late for 0.7 length 2nd in The Country Discovery over 1100m at Geelong on 7 April. Major contender.

3. General Beau (9)

Resumes from a 25 week spell. Prefer to see.

4. Shamino (4)

The oldest runner this year, and one of 2 runners for Phillip Stokes (the other is Mileva). Won the Listed Durbridge Stakes over this distance earlier in the year. Place chance.

5. Larimer Street (11)

One of 2 runners for David Jolly (the other is Gaze Grise). Returns from a 9 week let-up after winning 2 in a row at Murray Bridge then Morphettville Parks. Well placed.

6. Manhatten Times (8)

One of 2 runners for Leon Macdonald & Andrew Gluyas (the other is Another Award). Resumes from a 17 week spell. Prefer others.

7. Queman (1)

Has been in the quinella at his last 4 runs. Finished 2nd in the Listed Manihi Classic last start. Drawn to do no work and is in the mix.

8. Mileva (10)

Finished 3rd in the Abell Stakes last start. Rough place chance.

9. Seradess (3)

Was a close 2nd over 1100m at Flemington last start. Not the worst.

10. Another Award (5)

Won the Matrice stakes then was 1.2 lengths 4th in the Manihi Classic. Goes well at the track and should make her presence felt.

Came from well back and worked home strongly for 0.8 length 2nd in the Listed Hills Railway Stakes over 1100m at Oakbank on 8 April. Not the worst.
