Ken Russell Memorial Classic 2024 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Very keen on Perspiration. Quality runner who has form lines that stack up all around including beating the smart Snack Bar last run who has won again since. Imperial Force was a solid winner last start but will need plenty of luck from the wide draw. Balastier maps kindly from barrier 2 and goes in the mix against these while Althoff creates interest from barrier 8 with J-Mac steering.

Love its chances in this. Maps for a good run from barrier 4, has been nothing but consistent this prep and last start beat Snack Bar who has come out and won since. This race is a suitable stepping stone and goes firmly on top.

4. Volatile (3)
No luck at the end of the prep when running a solid third. Maps kindly for Berry and attacks this race fresh with good claims.
5. Gin A Tonic (21)
Has won both career starts to date. Much harder here and the wide draw won’t make things easy but this race is well within reach.
6. Imperial Force (19)
Dual nommed and may be racing elsewhere. A lot to like about the last start win in maiden company and this 2yo is set for some good races. big hope.
7. Alpha Bravo (13)
Can’t have.
8. Althoff (8)
Good debut effort but harder here. Place chance at best.
9. Balastier (2)
Relished the heavy to win breaking maiden. A lot harder here. Place chance at best.
10. Barbaric Lad (1)
Racing in good fashion and drawn to do no work. Can be up on speed and giving a bold sight.
11. Silva ‘N’ Suave (11)
Can’t have.

Prefer others.
13. Poster Girl (7)
Should be around the mark and attacks this with good claims from barrier 7 fresh. Watch for it late.

Has been backed in early markets coming off a good debut win. Place hope.
