Fairetha Stakes – 2022

There are only seven runners for the $125,000 Fairetha Stakes with six geldings and one colt. Three runners had their last start in the Listed Belgravia Stakes over 1200m at Ascot on 22 October and two runners had their last start in a 3YO Plate over 1400m at Ascot on 15 October. The other two came via different races. Trainer Neville Parnham has two runners.

The early favourite is Bustler who is unbeaten in 3 starts and steps up to 1400m for the first time.  Second favourite is Snowdome who carried a big weight for a close 3rd in the Belgravia Stakes. Third favourite is All The King’s Men who has won both starts this campaign. Man Crush ran 2nd in the Belgravia Stakes. The other three runners are currently 10 to 1 or longer.

1. Snowdome (3)

One of two runners for trainer Neville Parnham who could very likely train the quinella. Snowdome carried a big weight for a close 3rd in the Belgravia Stakes, and the start before he won a 3YO Classic over 1000m at Ascot on 8 October. One of the main chances.

2. Man Crush (6)

Ran 2nd in the Belgravia Stakes after 2nd over 1400m the start before. Not the worst.

3. All The King’s Men (4)

Resumed from a 23 week spell for a 2,2 length win over 1200m at Belmont on 24 September, then won by 0.7 length over 1400m at Ascot on 15 October. That was a tough win and he can figure in the finish.

4. Rejuva King (1)

Won three races in a row at Belmont in August and September, then had a 5 week freshen before 3.2 lengths 6th over 1400m at Ascot on 15 October. Was last most of the way and his final 400m was fast. Hasn’t won at Ascot in 3 starts here, so prefer others.

5. Bustler (5)

This Playing God gelding is unbeaten in 3 starts with one at Belmont and two at Ascot. Steps up to 1400m for the first time but that shouldn’t be a problem. Major chance.

6. Upper Limits (7)

Has a win and four places from 5 starts. Placed at his last 2 over 1400m at Ascot and is in the mix.

7. Uncle Gerard (2)

Still a maiden. Prefer others.
