A wide open affair that sees Eponymous hard to beat from the Waller stable. It will enjoy the rise in trip and the stable and jockey combination are one of the best in the business. There was little between Sandpaper and Angry Skies last time they met. Both will need luck from their draws and are winning chances while Kings Consort looks the best chance at odds returning in good fashion after being well backed. Plenty of chances in this race as the market suggests.

1. Sandpaper (19)

Like Sandpaper back to the 1400 here where it narrowly defeated the current favourite Angry Skies. There will be little between them again with both needing luck from their draws. Hard to beat.

2. Mumbai Jewel (13)

Mumbai Jewel just found the smart English Riviera too good with little between them last run. That looks the right form for this race and it should prove hard to hold out with even luck from the draw.

3. Angry Skies (16)

Hasn’t had much luck the past few runs and deserves to be well respected in the market. Nolen will need some luck from the draw but this race is within reach.

4. Kings Consort (20)

Liked the return of Kings Consort however barrier 20 makes things tricky here. Zahra is in the saddle and he knows the horse well, soft conditions will suit.

5. El Padrino (5)

Going along okay but seemed to have its chance last run. No easier here but its worth respecting any market moves.

6. Zamborghini (3)

Needs to lift this prep but is drawn to do so and form around its last prep reads super for this race. The market will be a telling story late but Zamborghini can take this out if it finds its best.

7. Atmosphere (12)

Kah steers from the awkward draw. Godolphin are in outstanding form and this race is within reach. Respect any market moves.

8. Eponymous (10)

Went okay last start without threatening. Should have won the start prior and the jockey/trainer combination is one of the best in the business. Goes close.

9. Bonheur (6)

Can go close here. Tim Clark takes the ride and should get a nice run from the draw. Respect any market moves.

10. Atlantic Ocean (8)

Returned very well with a good win in the mid weeks. Harder here but Waller knows how to place them to perfection and this race is within reach.

11. Running By (14)

Brings some strong form into this race and out of a leading stable should be well respected here. Brown rides well for the stable and it’ll give a good sight against this lot.

12. Street Gossip (4)

Won well swamping them on debut. Michael Dee takes the ride and it will be afforded every chance from barrier 4.

13. Yaki Ishi (9)

Can’t have.

14. Magic Time (15)

Lovely debut win doing plenty right. Childs sticks and he should land it on the speed where it will prove hard to catch. Top 4 player and over the odds at the $13.00 quote.

15. Shuriken (1)

Rises in depth but won well last start and drawn to receive every chance. Not hopeless at big odds.

16. Sweetened (11)

Well tried in early markets and didn’t have the best of luck last run. Williams is in the saddle and he is in a purple patch of form at the moment. It can take this out at good odds.

17e. Get Up Girl (17)

Strong win last start and can measure up to this lot. Barrier 17 is concerning but that should come in with scratchings. Respect any market moves.

18e. Knightjar (7)

Knightjar won well last start and looks a progressive type. Harder here but ticking along well and it can fight out the finish at handy odds.

19e. He’ll Rip (18)

Prefer others.

20e. Garza Blanca (2)

No luck last run. Needs a few scratchings to come out of the race to get involved but the stable are on fire and it is drawn to receive every chance.
