The 2022 City Property Services Bill Carter Stakes is held at Doomben Racecourse and is run over 1200 metres. It is a Listed stakes race and is for two-year-old fillies. The total prize money is $150,000.

Track: Heavy Weather: Rain

Tony Gollan holds a huge card in this race with Honey Pot, Bezique and Saweetie who all have winning claims. Sheeza Belter and Midnight In Tokyo didn’t have much between them last time they met, chasing down a very smart one called Nettuno. Zougotcha gets the services of James Mcdonald and has been handed the perfect draw to take this race out.

1. Sheeza Belter (12)

Has the right form hitting the line hard behind Nettuno who is a potential star of the future. Handles the heavy ground and can give this a shake.

2. Plymstock (8)

Godolphin are always major players in Queensland and Plymstock has been putting together some good runs. Slightly awkward draw but this race lacks depth and it can take this out.

3. Minks Star (9)

Can’t have.

4. Zougotcha (5)

The one to beat in this, not only because it relished the heavy surface on debut but also for the map and jockey booking. Tickover trial was everything you wanted to see and James Mcdonald should be landing Zougotcha in the box seat and can run over these.

5. Rose Of Shiraz (11)

Can’t have.

6. Midnight In Tokyo (4)

Flew to just miss Nettuno. That kind of performance again should go awfully close to winning this and Nash Rawiller is an excellent booking for its chances. Maps perfectly from the draw and should be hard to hold out.

7. Floral Oasis (2)

Not hopeless at odds. Has the chance to race in easier but placed here so clearly the stable have an opinion of this one. Wouldn’t completely shock.

8. Saweetie (6)

Has upside and the Tony Gollan polish which we all know is the right kind of polish to win a feature race in Brisbane. Keep an eye on the market, his stable runners are usually accurate when backed in winning.

9. Stroll (7)

I’d prefer Stroll over further but it can still figure in the finish here. Look more of a stayer off its last run but inclined to respect any market moves towards it.

10. Ekaterina (1)

Can’t have.

11. Bezique (10)

Similar to Saweetie in that Bezique has the Gollan polish and upside. Monitor the market moves.

12. Honey Pot (3)

Heavily backed on debut and slightly disappointing. Recent tick over trial was excellent and the market will have a big say in its winning chances first up.
