2022 Proud Miss Stakes Race Details
Race 9 at Morphettville on Saturday 21 May 2022.
The Proud Miss Stakes is a Group 3 1200 metre set weights plus penalties race for the fillies and mares that are three-year-old and upwards and the South Australian Jockey Club holds it in May. It is normally run at Morphettville during the Adelaide Racing Carnival.

Proud Miss Stakes 2022 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Partly Cloudy.
Fifteen runners have accepted for the $127,250 Group 3 Proud Miss Stakes and there have been no early scratchings. The Tom Dabernig stable and the Leon Macdonald/Andrew Gluyas stable have two runners entered each for the event whilst every other trainer has just one entry each.
Seradess has opened as the early favourite following her all-the-way win last start in the Group 2 Tobin Bronze Stakes. Craig Williams rode her to perfection on the day and was way too good for her rivals. Another Award is coming off a bold run in the Group 1 Robert Sangster where she was an impressive 2.8 length fourth to some handy horses.
Miss Albania rounds out the top three in betting after her bold run against good opposition in the D C McKay Stakes. She didn’t have a lot of luck over the concluding stages and back to her own sex brings her right into this.
Proud Miss Stakes Runner by Runner

Led the entire way last start impressively. No has to give some weight to older horses. She is tough and will be there in the finish.
2. Bless Her (5)
Could run a bold race after not handling the conditions last start. Place chance.
3. Another Award (8)
Big run in a big race. Drawn beautifully with Stubby Holder on board. She is ready to run another bottler.
4. Gimmie Par (2)
Drawn to run a big race and a return to her previous form sees her go close. Place chance for me.
5. Miss Albania (12)
Ran a big race last start and had no luck late. Will need some luck but she can win this.
6. Diamonds (13)
Will need to run a peak rating to win this.
7. Energy Within (6)
Looks outclassed.
8. Smokin Val (11)
Too hard for her.
9. Poysed To Rein (15)
First-up after 105 days. Prefer others.
10. Pimm’s Party (14)
Could run a cheeky race but looks outclassed from poor draw.
11. Aray Of Sunshine (3)
Will need to be better.
12. Lady Pavli Chenko (1)
Can’t have here.
13. Luna Cat (4)
Entered for Flemington as well as here. Will be hitting the line.
14. I Am Bene (7)
Undefeated galloper who is coming from a solid win in a benchmark 64. Drawn to run well.
15. Spinning (9)
Entered for Flemington as well. Place chance.
