Track: Good Weather: Fine
Stacked race and plenty of edges that can be taken. Detonator Jack has class on its side and should be going close. Nugget ran very well in the Doncaster and handles these conditions. Just Folk knows how to win and should be there abouts. Welwal and Berkshire Shadow will both need luck from their draws but both hold claims.

Stable are on fire. Can lob up on the speed and prove hard to mow down.
2. Spirit Ridge (18)
Has put together some good form last prep and handles all conditions. Has placed on the track and can win.
3. Renaissance Woman (12)
Has been around the mark this prep but due for another win. Will need luck from the draw but going along okay and worth thought.
4. King Frankel (1)
Maps for a soft run and his best is good enough. Needs to show more to consider.
5. Makram (6)
Suited rising in trip and just needs to find the form of the first up win to take this out.
6. Suizuro (2) – scratched
7. Fawkner Park (19)
Needs plenty of luck from out there. Has the ability and is the best horse in the race. Big last start win and goes right in the mix here.
8. Political Debate (4)
Maps well from barrier 4 and should give this race a shake. Hard to beat.
9. Taramansour (16)
This looks too tough.
10. Pervade (7)
Will appreciate the drop in grade but need to see more.
11. Cliff House (14)
In flying form and can win again here. Wide draw but Beasley sticks.
12. Zouatica (13)
Can’t have.

This looks too tough.
