Second favourite is Vampi At Play who was held up several times when 7th in the Burgess Queen. Third favourite is Sesswa who was a good winner over 1600m at Ascot last outing. Miss Drakove ran 3rd in the Burgess Queen. Legacy Of Tara comes off a 1400m win at Ascot and was won 3 of her 4 starts, while Penny On The Queen ran 4th in the Burgess Queen. The other runners are currently 20 to 1 or longer.

2022 WA Champion Fillies Stakes Runner by Runner

1. Laced Up Heels (10)

Beat Amelia’s Jewel to win the Burgess Queen, and now has 3 wins from 5 starts. has won her last two at this track and looks a leading contender.

2. Penny On The Queen (7)

Raced greenly and ran 4th in the Burgess Queen. Has only won one of her 9 starts but has placed 3 times. Place chance.

3. Vampi At Play (5)

One of three runners for trainer Neville Parnham. She was held up several times when 7th in the Burgess Queen. Rough place chance.

4. Miss Drakova (6)

Put in a great run when 3rd in the Burgess Queen. Her breeding suggests the rise in distance is a bonus. Should make her presence felt.

5. Sesswa (1)

She was a good winner over 1600m at Ascot last outing and is one of only two runners to have won over the distance (the other is Linden Lady). Has drawn barrier 1 and I think she will be in the finish.

6. Legacy Of Tara (4)

Comes off a 1400m win at Ascot and was won 3 of her 4 starts. Wouldn’t surprise to see her in the finish.

7. Ex Sport Girl (9)

PLaced at her first 3 starts this campaign before forging to the line for a 0.9 length win over 1240m at Albany. Has upside.

8. Yarralea (11)

Came from the back of the field for 5th in the Burgess Queen. Not the worst.

9. Bonjoy (8)

One of two runners for trainer Jason Miller. Has only had 3 runs and was runner-up at her first 2 starts before running on strongly for a win over 1400m at Ascot last start. One to keep an eye on.

10. Linden Lady (12)

Won a 1600m maiden at Northam beforebeing wide throughout to finish 6th over 1400m at Ascot last start.

11. Royal Elite (2)

Has won one of her 4 starts and gets blinkers on for the first time. Looking elsewhere.

12. Admiration Express (3)

The only maiden in the field. She has placed twice from 3 starts. Looking to others.
