Keith Noud Quality Handicap – 2022

Track: Soft Weather: Good

A race where the market will tell all given that 4 of the main chances come from the same stable. Garibaldi is a good galloper with loads of ability. It had no luck last start and can bounce back here. Its stable mate Proper Rouge just keeps winning and can notch up another one here. Salateen flies fresh and is unbeaten on the track, it looks the best roughie in the race while the other Gollan runner Vinco usually improves with a run under the belt. A solid tempo is expected and a big market watch is advised.

1. Emerald Kingdom (11)

Good win last start after getting a nice run in front. May not have that here with quite a few of these mapping to go forward. This race is within reach.

2. Holyfield (2)

Quality galloper but I’d prefer to see it deeper into its prep. Respect any moves in the market because it has the ability to take this out.

3. Bandipur (3)

Can’t have.

4. Garibaldi (7)

On top but not a race I’m overly keen to be involved in given the 4 main chances in the market all come from the same stable. Garibaldi is a bit hard to catch but has loads of ability. It was unlucky last run but the win prior was excellent. I feel its the best horse in the race but the stable will know whos going the best behind closed doors. Monitor the market.

5. Vinco (9)

Another Tony Gollan runner that has a booming turn of foot but a poor first up record. Prefer it deeper into its prep. Can’t have.

6. Last Chance (6)

Last Chance is having a good prep and has been around the mark in its 2 runs this far. This race isn’t any easier and it will need to lift off its efforts to be taking this out.

7. Wisdom Of Water (10)  – SCRATCHED

8. Salateen (1)

Salateen is unbeaten on this track and flies fresh. Thornton will get a nice run from barrier 1 and it can challenge the stable mates with the excellent record at Doomben

9. Proper Rouge (4)

Hard to knock winning form. Proper Rouge should get every chance from the gun draw and this Gollan galloper is shooting for 4 straight. Its main danger is its stable mate.

10. Tavisan (8)

Tavisan has a good racing pattern. It’ll land on the speed and give a good kick. Last start was strong and it’ll be hard to hold out here again at the $16.00 mark.

11. Miss Divine Em (5)

No luck last start, Miss Divine Em was racing well prior and scored a few wins. From barrier 5 Harrison has options and this race is within reach.
