Track: Good Weather: Fine

A competitive race with plenty of talent. English Riviera will need luck from the draw but has the ability and should be suited out onto a bigger track than Moonee Valley. Its form lines are strong and Shinn does the steering. Kin was a certainty beaten last run and seems very large odds in this winnable race with Jamie Kah steering from the good draw. Troach should be around the mark and will take some holding out with its handy on pace running pattern. Cholante is massive odds after missing the start a fortnight ago. Can win this at massive odds.

Prefer others.

2. Troach (14)

Has the ideal running pattern and should give this race a shake. Plonks on speed and has some handy NSW form. Williams rated it to perfection 2 starts back and the same effort here will see it very hard to hold out.

3. Nanagui (6)

Racing in fine fashion and looks well poised to notch up another win. Harder here but must be respected and clearly good enough to take this race out.

4. Lady Laguna (9)

Didn’t have much luck last run. A few starts back was unlucky behind Troach so the form looks right and it gets Tim Clark in the saddle which is an ideal booking.

5. English Riviera (12)

Should be suited getting back onto a bigger track. Was outstanding first up and just needs to reproduce that to give this race a shake. Can produce a high rating run and is right in the mix against this bunch.

6. Mumbai Jewel (10)

Ethan Brown will need some luck from the draw but this race is within reach. Suited onto a bigger track and should run a bold race at handy odds.

7. Prairie Flower (5)

Can’t have.

8. Hell Hound (7)

Good return from Hell Hound who was well tried in early markets. Needs some luck from the draw but should be suited back onto drier ground and this race is within reach.

9. Wee Nessy (3)

Continues to run well and the booking of J-Mac is suitable. Barrier 3 should ensure a good run in transit and this race can be taken out.

10. Kin (2)

Hard to watch last run and should have bolted in for us at massive odds. Sticking thick here and maps for the dream run with Jamie Kah in the saddle. The form from Kins maiden win has stood up since and I think it’ll be awfully hard to hold out in this.

11. Berry Bubbly (15)

Can’t have.

12. C’est Magique (1)

Continues to race well and can give this a shake. Barrier 1 might be tricky with its running pattern but this race is suitable and it can take this out.

13. Cholante (4)

Was red hot on its chances in the mid weeks a fortnight ago. Jumped slow and got into a tricky spot before ripping home in the fastest last 600 of the meeting. Cholante is stakes class and will take some holding out if the stable elect to run here. 2nd pick.

14. La Danseuse Rouge (8)

Can’t have.

15. Lovetta (11)

Racing well. Didn’t have much luck last run and can bounce back. Daniel Moor is a strong booking but the barrier is of some concern.

16. Sweetened (16)

Enormous debut win. Up a few notches here but the form from the win has been franked and Oliver sticks. The barrier is a concern, as is the step up in grade but its good enough to take this out.
