Queensland Cup 2022 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
The stayers battle it out over 2400 and its Mohican Heights that creates intrigue and brings in some strong NSW formlines. Seat Of Power continues to win and looks well placed in this field while Barade wasn’t far off it last time they met and can turn the tables. Fun Fact is also worth thought and is starting to find some form again, it may just be its turn to find the winners stall after quite some time out of it.
Queensland Cup 2022 Runner by Runner
1. Seat Of Power (7)
Has found winning form and can hold it. Orman sticks, he has never missed the quinella aboard. My query is the 0/7 record at the track but also convinced Seat Of Power is a much better galloper now. Can win.
2. Barade (1)
Racing well and wasn’t far off Seat Of Power last run. Maps to stalk the speed and has hit its straps this prep. Big chance against these.
3. Mohican Heights (5)
Brings in some outstanding NSW form and should give this race a red hot shake. Drawn nicely, the 4th behind Grove Ferry and Cadre De Noir should be too good for this lot.
4. Fun Fact (9)
Getting back to form and absolutely has the ability to take this out. It has been a while between drinks for Fun Fact but it looks to be back on track, has won on this course and should lead these up for fun. Chance at odds.
5. Honorable Spirit (4)
Put in a poor run last start but was going super prior to that and should get another chance here from the nice draw. Gets options in running and very suited if the track stays in the dry range.
6. Sayl (2)
Not hopeless here at odds. Sayl is the kind of galloper that needs to be saved for one last burst and gets a bit lost if it hits the front too early. Harrison is in outstanding form and if she can produce one last finishing run over the top of a hot speed it can win.
7. Brown Thomas (6)
Racing well without winning. KWT is 1/1 aboard which is a positive push and any rain about will enhance its chances. Yet to see the track is a query but this is a winnable cup.
8. Dune Forty Five (3)
Prefer others.
9. Tappy’s Lad (8)
Can give a sight if the track gets into the heavy range. Thompson is racing in good form and overall this is within reach. Keep safe.
