Track: Soft Weather: Fine

An open affair lead in the market by Tijuana who should receive a lovely run in transit and boasts some strong formlines. Foujita San was outstanding last prep, finds a winnable chance to regain its form despite the tricky draw. Let’srollthedice is out of the O’Brien camp who are struggling for form lately but with Damian Lane doing the steering it must be respect while Bronsan is best of the rest.

1. Let’srollthedice (1)

Going along well and has strong claims here however barrier 1 could be problematic with its running pattern. Lane is going to require plenty of luck from the draw but if the gaps come it can hit the line hard.

2. Brosnan (6)

Has some good form for this race and should get the right run in transit from barrier 6. An in form Ben Melham steers and overall this race is within reach.

3. Virtuous Circle (4)

Finds J-MAC which is quite a good push towards its chances. Maps kindly, is a winner 2nd up already and has good upside. This race is within reach and the $11.00 is over the odds in a winnable affair.

4. Tijuana (2)

Hit the line hard last run and should be getting the right run from barrier 2. First look at the track but Zahra hops aboard and he is 1/1 when riding. Big claims and deserves to be well in the market.

5. He’s Heaven (11)

Was sound last start but is going to need some luck from the draw. Can win but needs some things to fall into place.

6. Ringmaster (7)

Stuck on the one maiden win but has plenty of ability and can take this out if he puts it all together. Keep safe.

7. Foujita San (8)

Was outstanding last prep but is doing a few things wrong this time around. Has enormous talent and upside but Moonee Valley does look a risky track with its running pattern. Can take this out but can not afford to be missing the start.

8. Ain’t He Grand (9)

Racing well, Jamie Kah rides and comes from the leading stable. Commands respect despite the wide draw.

9. Muramasa(3)

Showed a great finishing burst to mow them down on debut. Maps to do no work from barrier 3 and should show a nice turn of foot when Moor asks. Harder here but has good upside and looks a top 4 player.

10. Fairy Spirit (8)

Racing well and respect if the stable choose this race over the easier option on Thursday. Keep an eye on any market moves.

11. Poison Chalice (10)

Can’t have.
