A race that looks perfect for Le Gai Soleil who had no luck last start when heavily backed and should take a power of beating in this field. Profit should be making his presence felt back onto a drier track and does love racing at Eagle Farm. Vinco is on the quick back up for Tony Gollan and must be respected while Bullfinch continues to race well from the Waller yard.

1. Kubrick (7)

Enigmatic and 0 wins from 7 goes at the track. Far too short for mine and expecting it to drift.

2. Lightning Jack (10)

Brings in the right form and J-Mac booked is a solid push. Will require luck from barrier 10 but overall has the right kind of ability to take this race out. It is never easy to win from wide draws at this track but Lightning Jack has the class to overcome that.

3. Profit (8)

Should be very much suited by getting back onto a drier track and loves racing here. Over the odds.

4. Bonham (11)

Does have good overseas form. Keep an eye on the market and respect any moves.

5. Charmmebaby (3)

Unbeaten over the trip and should be pouncing late from the ideal draw. Strung together a few wins last prep and looks nicely placed in this field.

6. Tobilicious (9)

Respect any market moves.

7. Vinco (1)

1/1 over the track and trip and on the quick back up. Stable has been finding form again and must be respected in this.

8. Never No More (2)

Has put 4 second placings in a row together. Clark will be looking to find the front from the good draw and can pinch this race if it gets some cheap sectionals upfront.

9. Irish Songs (4)

Has the quality and does no work from the draw. Chance for the top 4.

10. Le Gai Soleil (6)

Disappointing last start but I thought the poor was steer. Needs clean air and has a bursting finish when things fall into place. I’d like to see Le Gai Soleil brought to the outside of these and I am confident it has the turn of foot to beat these.

11. Bullfinch (5)

Extremely consistent of late and strikes another winnable race. Major player in this field.

12. Our Birdsong (12)

This looks a bit too tough.
