The Queen Of The South Stakes is a Group 2 race held at Morphettville racecourse over 1600 metres. It is for fillies and mares three-years-old and upwards and is run under set weights plus penalties conditions. The total prizemoney is $250,000 this year.

Sirileo Miss, Grinzinger Belle, Rebel Rama and Splash Back are early scratchings, leaving 16 runners for the Queen Of The South Stakes with one 3YO, seven 4YOs, two 5YOs and six 6YOs. Two of the runners had their last start in the Listed City Of Adelaide Handicap over 1527m at Morphettville on 13th April (won by Chicago Storm) and two in the $150,000 Gold Bracelet over 1400m at Bendigo on 13th April (won by Lady Jones), while the rest came via different races. Third favourite is Foxy Frida who has a good record at this track and comes off 1.3 lengths 5th in the Golden Mile at Bendigo on 13th April. Lady Jones won the Gold Bracelet at Bendigo, while Legacies is a last-start winner over 1600m at Caulfield. All other runners are currently $12 or longer.
