Track: Good Weather: Fine

First Immortal will need luck from barrier 13. This race suits and can bounce back from last start. Strawberry Rock comes up with a tricky draw but deserves another win after a gallant effort last start and this race is no harder. Deny Knowledge gave a very bold sight last start and looks well placed to be in the finish again. Little Mix has been sound in both runs this prep and will be the one flashing home late.

1. Captain Envious (3)

Strong last start win in open company beating Jenilala. That form looks good for this and maps for a nice time of it from barrier 3. Goes close.

2. Future History (7)

Comes out of the same race as Captain Envious and ran sound. Looks ready for the rise in trip and is amongst chances.

3. Gear Up (11)

Should be up on the speed giving a bold sight. Doesn’t win out of turn but the effort two back would go close to taking this out.

4. First Immortal (13)

Poor last run when well in the market but willing to forgive the failure of First Immortal and go off prior efforts. Will need some luck from barrier 13 but does come into this with strong claims and can give this race a shake.

5. Deny Knowledge (4)

Was in a bunched finish behind a few of these and did beat the favourite home. The third up record has appeal with 2 wins from 4 goes and is right in the mix.

6. Hopeful (2)

Only found Circle Of Fire better last start who has come out and franked the form since. Jumping off the heavy track is a query but a huge chance if repeating the last start run. Weary!

7. Nereus (9)

Has put together two good wins in a row and can go on with things here coming across from NZ with its usual jockey, Michael Mc Nab, steering. Can win.

8. Little Mix (14)

Consistent this prep without winning. Tough draw but one of the main hopes.

9. Esti Feny (12)

Can’t have.

10. Strawberry Rock (10)

Going a long super this prep. Will need a bit of luck from barrier 10 but found plenty to win two starts back and last start was also very good. Big hope.

11. Regal Lion (5)

Can’t have.

12. United Nations (8)

Prefer others.

13. Good Oil (1)

This looks too tough.

14. Mystery Island (6)

Prefer others.
