Hareeba Stakes 2024 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Grand Impact will need luck from barrier 8. Moor rides which appeals and this race suits. Maharba certainly has the ability to be winning a race of this depth. Barrier 13 is tough but this race suits. Jigsaw has the ability and will be hard to beat in this. The Inferno hasn’t won for a long, long time but does drop in grade, well and truly overdue. The placing in the William Reid Stakes is good enough for this. Devil’s Throat can run well fresh.
Hareeba Stakes 2024 Runner by Runner
1. Jigsaw (5)
Looks set to peak third up and has the ability to be going close in a field of this depth. Maps well from barrier 5 and has good claims.
2. Savannah Cloud (2)
Won in open company last start beating General Beau. Harder here but gets a good draw and kind map. Should give this a shake with even luck.
3. The Inferno (12)
Hasn’t won in a very long time and happy to look elsewhere with the wide draw. Prefer others.
4. Holyfield (1)
Can’t have.
5. Pintoff (7)
Put together two strong runs last prep and is a big market watch fresh here. Can win and maps for a good time of things.
6. Curran (4)
Can’t have.
7. Fashion Shoot (10)
Leaning to others.
8. Nicolini Vito (9)
This looks too tough.
9. La Danseuse Rouge (15)
Drawn for a tough run from barrier 15 but does look very much suited to this field. Jump outs have been solid and commands respect here fresh.
10. Maharba (13)
Has the ability to go close against these and despite the wide draw, should give this a shake. Commendable second last start in a race with similar depth and NZ based rider Michael Mc Nab takes the steer.
11. Grand Impact (8)
Didn’t have much luck fresh when copping plenty of hear. Grand Impact will be strips fitter for the return off a long break and there was plenty to like about what it showed in its first prep.
12. Poland (6)
Can’t have.
13. Party For One (11)
Prefer others.
14. Starlight Scope (14)
This looks too tough.
15. Devil’s Throat (3)
Has a sharp turn of foot and maps for a kind run in transit from barrier 3. Giving respect here in what is a very suitable affair.
