JRA Plate 2024 Race Details
Race 6 at Randwick Racecourse on Saturday the 20th of April 2024.
The JRA Plate is a Group 3 race held at Randwick Racecourse and is run over 2000 metres. It is run under quality handicap conditions for horses aged three-years-old and older. The total prize money is $250,000 this year.

JRA Plate 2024 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Tough race to sort. New Energy comes out of the George Ryder and is well placed here but the draw does make things tricky. Fawkner Park bolted in the Albury Cup and there was plenty to like about the win. Harder here but still loaded with upside. Bois D’argent has claims from the kind draw and should give this a shake. City Of Lights will need some luck from the barrier but also goes in the mix.

Can’t have.
2. Unspoken (8)
Leaning to others.
3. Bold Mac (9)
This looks too tough.
4. Bois D’argent (6)
Hoped for more last run. Has been mixing its form but does map very well here and best form sees it in the finish.
5. Navajo Peak (5)
Can’t have.
6. New Energy (13)
Favourite in early markets and hit the line very well last start. May need to go back from the barrier but will relish the trip and gets J-Mac doing the steering. Hard to beat.
7. Goldman (2)
Didn’t come up last spring but worth respecting any market moves.
8. Renaissance Woman (4)
Poor run last start but capable of bouncing back in this. Should get a lovely run from the draw and Lloyd steers. Has won here before and tixks plenty of boxes.
9. Yonce (12)
She will need luck from the draw but is 1/1 over this trip. The barrier isn’t ideal but has the class to give this a shake.
10. Normandy Bridge (10)
Can’t have.
11. Almania (15)
Has come back in superb form this prep. Barrier 15 doesn’t make things easy but Gibbons rides very well with 2 wins from 5 goes aboard and is suited to the 2000.
12. Fawkner Park (3)
Dominant win last start. Harder here but has the right draw to go on with things and Schiller sticks.
13. Hezashocka (11)
Has some good form for this but will need a good ride from out there. Can win.
14. Superium (7)
Prefer others.
15. City Of Lights (14)
2 wins from 3 goes this prep and Kah jumping aboard is an interesting move. X-factor of the race that can win.
