Members Handicap 2024 Race Details
Race 5 at Doomben Racecourse on Saturday the 18th of May 2024.
The Members Handicap is a Listed race held at Doomben Racecourse over 1600 metres. It is for three-year-olds and upwards and is run under quality handicap conditions. The total prize money is $160,000 this year.

Members Handicap 2024 Preview
Track: Slow Weather: Cloudy
Following the early scratchings of Sibaaq and Rise Of The Masses there will be 15 runners for the 2024 Sky Racing Members’ Handicap with 14 geldings and one filly. There is one 3YO, five 4YOs, one 5YO, two 6YOs, four 7YOs and two 8YOs. Three runners had their last start in a BM 85 Handicap over 1400m at Eagle Farm on 4th May (won by Zoe’s Promise) and two in a BM 90 Handicap over 1300m at Eagle Farm on 27th April (won by Ovidius), while the rest came via different races. Three runners are trained by Chris Munce.
The early favourite is Gringotts who has won both starts this preparation. Second favourite is Territory Express who won the $1,000,000 Provincial-Midway Championships over 1400m at Randwick on 13th April. Third favourite is Knights Choice who hasn’t raced since 16th December but has had several trials. Luncies hasn’t raced since 4th in the Listed January Cup at Rosehill, while Brookhaven ran 3rd at Eagle Farm on 8th May. The other runners are currently $20 or longer.
