Track: Good Weather: Fine

Pavitra leads the market and looks hard to hold 0ut as favourite. Bumped into a smart one last time and that form looks spot on for this. Arts was a surprise winner and is here on the quick back up. Fireburn will relish any sting out of the ground and has been racing around the mark while Pierossa has form around Pavitra and can give this a shake. It looks best suited out to the 2400 and goes on top at the good price. Byron Belle looms as a large roughie and is a good chancer in this field.

1. Pennyweka (11)

Quality stayer coming across from NZ that should give a great sight in this field. Lane is booked to ride and the stable have a large opinion of this Filly. Right in this.

2. Pavitra (2)

Explosive fresh and then ran into one better last start. Kind draw and J-Mac on. Very likeable and ticks all the boxes. Only knock is the price.

3. Fireburn (4)

Fireburn looks back on track after finally drawing a good gate last start. Gets a similar set up in this and shouldn’t be double the price of Pavitra.

4. Polygon (5)

Hoped for more last start but worth another chance off prior wins. Keep an eye on the market for any support.

5. Arts (10)

Surprise winner last start that can go on with things here. An in form Bowman comes across from HK for the meeting and does the steering. Capable of winning this.

6. Pierossa (7)

Looks ready for this trip. Is a 4th up winner and should relish the 2400. Like many of these, comes out of the Vinery Stud Stakes and was making strong ground late. Keen to see what it can do out at this trip and is over the odds.

7. Soul Choice (1)

Stayer that should be able to land up on the speed and give a good sight. Form around Dunkel reads nicely and this race is within reach.

8. So Dazzling (15)

Mixing form at the moment but has a sharp turn of hoof on its day. Not hopeless.

9. Byron Belle (8)

I have a bit of time for Byron Belle and it was good to see her back on track last start. Right in the mix off that run.

10. Premise (6)

Okay effort las start behind Arts and should enjoy the 2400. Would have to lift off last run to take this out but capable to do so.

11. Mountain Guest (9)

Leaning to others with stronger form and better set ups.

12. Frankie’s Me Dad (3)

Can’t have.

13. Jolted (14)

Sensational win in the mid weeks. Up a few grades and didn’t beat much but looks a quality stayer with a bright future. Wouldn’t shock at the $26.00.

14. Stormy Witness (12)

Can’t have.

15. Fay’s Angels (13)

Prefer others.
