South Pacific Classic 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Even race. Hawaii Five Oh was unlucky last start and should be hard to hold out in this company. Hell I Am will be tough to beat despite the wide draw and has the right credentials to be going close. Kovalica is building up a picket fence and gets the services of J-Mac while Perfect Thought is in the mix and on best form should give this a shake.

1. Hell I Am (10)
Should hit the line hard and just needs luck from the draw to be going close. An in form Bowman sticks.
2. Perfect Thought (4)
Maps nicely from the draw and has good form for this. Strong jockey booking and the stable are having a good run. Likeable.
3. Kovalica (15)
Building a picket fence and gets the services of J-Mac. Nicely placed in this field to return to winning ways.
4. Renaissance Woman (14)
Capable galloper that can go in the mix here. Keep an eye on the market.
5. Midnight In Tokyo (5)
Needs to lift on form.
6. Rediener (3)
Prefer others.
7. Razeta (1)
Poor last start but can bounce back in this with Gibbons steering from barrier 1. The form around In Secret is brilliant for this. Has strong claims at a very nice price.
8. Atmosphere (7)
Ticking along nicely and gets a good set up in this. King does the steering and on best form goes close.
9. Cool Jakey (8)
Going along well and just needs a pinch of luck from the draw to go close. Schiller is riding in excellent fashion and this race is well within reach.
10. Hawaii Five Oh (11)
Just missed last start and this race isn’t any harder. Tim Clark can control proceedings from barrier 11 and should be hard to beat from the front.
11. Hokkaido (2)
Nice weight and map. Should get a nice run in transit and off its win 2 back is hard to beat in this.
12. Stylised (9)
Has the right form to give this a shake and is a market watch carrying a light weight in a suitable race. Goes close.
13. Felix Majestic (6)
Can’t have.
14. Bundeena (13)
Fair leap up in grade but promising galloper that can measure up here. Place chance in a suitable race.
15. Dear Jewel (12)
Can’t have.
