The Queen Elizabeth Stakes is a Group 1 race held at Randwick Racecourse and is run over 2000 metres. It is run under weight for age conditions for horses aged three-years-old and older. The total prize money is $5,000,000 this year.

Queen Elizabeth Stakes 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
A mouthwatering clash between the 2 big guns in meeting Anamoe and Dubai Honour. Anamoe needs no introduction and he has stamped himself as one of the best racehorses in Australia. Dubai Honour couldn’t have been any more impressive first up and will handle all conditions. Smaller chances to Montefilia and Cascadian who will both be hitting the line hard and are solid place chances.
Queen Elizabeth Stakes 2023 Runner by Runner
1. Anamoe (8)
The king of racing finds barrier 8. He looks a standout in this race with Dubai Honour being the danger. Sliding with Anamoe. He is very hard to tip against, versatile in settling positions and has been flawless this prep. $2.60 around about fair.
2. Dubai Honour (9)
Hard to beat. Excellent first up run in AUS shores blousing a handy field. Has to take a step up in depth here but has to be respected and the raiders have been flying lately. Tom Marquand is a good jockey. This is a hot race.
3. Alenquer (10)
Prefer others.
4. Cascadian (5)
Consistent operator that should run a place here from the kind draw. Flying this prep and looks nicely placed to fight out the minors. The price seems about right.
5. Mo’unga (4)
Prefer others.
6. Numerian (3)
Can’t have.
7. Unicorn Lion (13)
A recent trial was a sharp piece of work. Very hard to tip against the top 2 but as the market suggests this is the main threat for them. Damian Lane does the steering. Top 3 hope.

Can’t have.

Prefer others.
10. Gear Up (6)
Prefer in something easier.

Having a good prep but would have to find more to challenge the favourites. Unlucky last start when nearly falling on the bend, picked its self up and gathered late nicely. Place chance.
