Track: Good Weather: Fine

No one missed the first up run of Cleveland who is a winner over further trips than this over in the UK. It looks a weighted moral here and will only need cover from barrier 17 to be winning. Really like its chances. Nerve Not Verve and Gin Martini are both in form and should be around the mix while High Emocean was an eye catching run last start and can run into a place. This looks all about Cleveland.

1. Gold Trip (16)

Been around the mark this prep and should enjoy any cut out of the ground. Always a hope in a race like this with luck in running.

2. Knights Order (12)

Should plonk on the speed and give a good kick. Loves Randwick and 1/1 over this track and trip. Ready to peak 4th up and is a major player in this field.

3. Baron Samedi (20)

Quality stayer who looks a nice chance despite the wide barrier. Its overseas form is good for this and should have enough time to find an okay position. Keep safe.

4. Stockman (5)

Wants a swamp. Every hope last start and may be looking for wetter.

5. Arapaho (8)

Strong winner last start but not suited at the weights in this. Tough horse that will be in it for a long way.

6. Selino (14)

Can’t have.

7. Surefire (6)

Broke through for a deserving win last start and gets a similar set up here. Can find a nice spot from the draw and is a major player.

8. Explosive Jack (4)

Would have to lift on form but Dylan Gibbons gets aboard, the kind draw, soft ground and racing at Randwick helps. Right in this with those factors in mind.

9. Sir Lucan (15)

Got all the favours first up with some stable riding. Won’t get that here with plenty of these going forward. Prefer others.

10. Torrens (1)

Prefer in something easier.

11. Cleveland (17)

Declaring it despite the wide draw & Mcevoy on who can be hard to catch these days. Zoomed to the line fresh and has won over longer trips than this overseas. If the form around Cleveland last start is right for this then it is the horse I want to be with out of that race and the market agrees. Very well in at the weights, loves cut in the ground, provided Mcevoy gives it a half decent steer this time and there is no second up syndrome it should be winning and winning well.

12. High Emocean (19)

Eye catching run last start and spoiled stay the trip. Yet to place at the track but rarely runs a poor race. Big chance and good odds.

13. Amade (10)

Can’t have.

14. King Frankel (11)

Every hope last start and meets some of these again. Far too short given a few factors but still in the mix to win.

15. Nerve Not Verve (2)

Tough horse that has hit form and will be hard to get past. Should set the tempo and give a bold sight.

16. Gin Martini (18)

Excellent last start and goes in the mix again off the effort. Tricky draw and do prefer others out of its race but hard to knock the prep it is having. In the mix.

17. Timour (3)

Prefer others.

18. Alakahan (13)

Can’t have.

19. Pesto (9)

Prefer in something easier.

20. True Marvel (7)

Needs to lift.
