Our Rosehill Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

There are five Group 1 races – the Ranvet Stakes (race 4), the Rosehill Guineas (race 5), the George Ryder (race 6), the Golden Slipper (race 7) and The Galaxy (race 8).

She’s Ideel (Rosehill Race 3 No. 7)
This five-year-old Dundeel mare trained by Bjorn Baker has five wins and eight places from 13 starts. After a 15 week spell she resumed for 0.8, 1 length 3rd in the Group 2 Millie Fox Stakes over 1300m at Rosehill where she had the best last 200m race sectional, then she chased strongly and just missed for 0.1 length 2nd in the Group 3 Aspiration Quality over 1600m at Randwick on 6 March. The extra distance suits and she is proven on soft tracks. Should win.

Lion’s Roar (Rosehill Race 5 No. 1):
This three-year-old gelding trained by John O’Shea has four wins and two places from seven starts, and came 2nd in the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes at his only previous start over this distance. When resuming from a 19 week spell he jumped awkwardly and finished 3 lengths 5th in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes over 1400m at Rosehill on 20 February, then he was ridden patiently back last before winding up and getting to the front for a 1.3 length win in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas over 1600m at Randwick on 6  March. That was an impressive win and he looks a great each-way bet.

Collide (Rosehill Race 2 No. 8):
This six-year-old Frankel horse trained by Kris Lees is the early favourite in the Group 3 N E Manion Cup over 2400m. At the end of last campaign in Europe he finished 5.96 lengths 6th in the Group 2 Prix Kergolay over 3000m on 23 August. He kept grinding away for 0.8, 2.8 lengths 3rd in the Listed Randwick City Stakes over 2000m at Randwick on 6 March at his first Australian start. He offers little value in a race where it is hard to line up his form.
