Track: Good Weather: Fine
Muramasa is racing in fine fashion and can notch up another win from the good draw. Deny Knowledge was aided by a peach from Jamie Kah last start and will be afforded every chance from barrier 1 in this suitable race. Huetor has good claims from the draw and the best turn of foot out of this lot while Vow And Declare is more than capable of taking out a race like this.
Zipping Classic 2023 Runner by Runner
1. Vow And Declare (6)
Won this race last year. Should get a nice run in transit and while he isn’t getting any younger with age he has kept his form up. Should be in the finish and has put together some solid placings this prep.
2. Huetor (5)
Hard to beat in this off the back of a good last start run that rates well clear of what anything in this field did last start. Has the turn of foot to run over these late and is proven above this level.
3. Amade (11)
Can’t have.
4. Military Mission (10)
Enjoys this trip and has the right running pattern to give this a shake. Can land up on the speed and prove hard to get past.
5. Bankers Choice (7)
Early drifter in the market. Good run last start and gets the services of John Allen. May be lacking the class of some of these but does go in the mix.
6. Serpentine (9)
Comes up over the odds in this field. Can plonk on the speed and is more than capable of taking out a race like this.
7. Duke De Sessa (2)
Has been around the mark this prep when seemingly having every chance. Not suggesting at diving into the odds but might be worth backing if there is a decent market move for it.
8. Port Philip (3)
Prefer others.
9. Shock ‘Em Ova (8)
Decent run last start. Finds a field where most have reached their ceiling whereas this guy hasn’t. Goes in the mix and Williams knows him very well.
10. Muramasa (4)
Having a superb prep and can notch up another win here. Maps well and hard to suggest another win isn’t on the cards against this field.
11. Deny Knowledge (1)
Given a peach of a steer last start and scored. Harder here but is on the up and good enough to give this race a shake at decent odds.
