All eyes on Private Eye who just needs to be within range to mow this lot down. It sees a big drop in class and will just need to settle close enough to run over this lot. Rothfire is classy but due for another win. Barrier 2 helps its chances here. King Of Sparta will be banking on dry ground and goes in the mix if that eventuates. Prince Of Boom returned well within a good win. A Case Of You is an interesting runner who had no luck fresh and Paulele always commands respect, especially in a winnable race like this. Solid race.

1. Private Eye (3)

All class and all quality, Private Eye will take plenty of beating in this. Proven over this trip but the slight niggle is the running pattern of Private Eye. It’ll get back and run on and is by all means the horse to beat but $2.30 is thin enough for a horse with that kind of racing style.

2. A Case Of You (8)

Quality import who had no luck fresh in a hot race. Goes in the mix off that effort and just needs a tow into the race at the right time.

3. Paulele (2)

Dry tracker that will get conditions to suit. Should enjoy the rise in trip after not doing a while lot fresh and maps well from barrier 2. The camp are on fire.

4. Rothfire (9)

Has claims but needs another win. Should land on the speed from barrier 9 and no denying the class of Rothfire but it is nearing d-day for punters backing him.

5. Baller (4)

Can run a big race on its day. Winning chance if they bowl along up front.

6. King Of Sparta (5)

Has become very genuine and the drier the ground the better. Maps kindly from barrier 6 and undoubtedly has the turn of foot to run over the top of these. Hard to beat.

7. Holyfield (1)

Sh0uld run a good race from barrier 1 but the amount of pressure in this race has to be some query. Has claims.

8. Prince Of Boom (7)

Excellent return with a strong win. Prefer the form of others in this but has claims if it can improve off the first up effort and James Orman aboard is always a positive.

9. Dragon Leap (6)

Can’t have.
