Tattersall’s Stakes – 2022

Track: Good Weather: Fine

Stroll and Honey Pot clash again. There was little between them last time and both look well placed to fight out the finish. Johnny Rocker continues to win and can lead them up while Chayse ‘N’ Artie brings in some hot form and can give a sight. The tempo should be solid.

1. Thelwell (1)

Not sure barrier 1 is ideal for the racing pattern of Thelwell. Might need to bank on a run along the rails. Can win this with luck in running.

2. Johnny Rocker (11)

Racing well and hard to knock. Should be leading them up and proving hard to catch. This is a suitable race, top 4 chance.

3. Victory Moments (10)

Can win this with luck from the draw. Couldn’t get the run last start but if presented at the right time has a sound chance of running these down.

4. Metallicity (5)

Didn’t have a lot of luck last run. I am running out of patience with Metallicity but its best is without a doubt good enough. Maps kindly and Berry continues to stick. Weary

5. Dark Harmony (3)

Going along well. Harder here but should set up perfectly from the draw and overall strikes a winnable race. Respect any market moves late.

6. Whistling Spirit (15)

Can’t have.

7. Chayse ‘N’ Artie (12)

Unlucky last run. The booking of Nash is ideal however the map from the draw does look tricky. Can take this out with a bit of luck in running.

8. Stroll (2)

Had every possible when competing against Honey Pot as well as an extra run under the belt. Maps better and will be ahead of Honey Pot in the run. I suspect they will both be fighting out the finish.

9. Tyresa (8)

Brings in the right form and has been racing in very good fashion. Best to respect the market late but looks a top 4 chance.

10. Minks Star (4)

Not a good record at this track. Maps well but prefer others.

11. Honey Pot (14)

The one to beat. I thought the steer was a bit late last time out. Meets the favourite, Stroll, again however now has more runs under the belt and is suited by the rise in trip. Will get back from the wide draw but is hard to beat with even luck.

12. Media Scandal (9)

This looks too tough.

13. Resistible (7)

Massive leap in grade but has the runs on the board. Can lead these up and prove hard to catch with an in form jockey.

14. Kamitori (13)

Needs luck from the draw and its never easy to win from the draw at this track but does bring the right formlines and is going well enough to take this out. Keep an eye on the market.

15. Elliez Star (6)

Prefer others.
