Tattersalls Tiara – 2022

Track: Good Weather: Fine

Should be a strong speed engaged and a quality field takes battle. Annavisto heads the market and brings in plenty of class. Has always been devastating when produced fresh and looks hard to beat in this field. Brooklyn Hustle is one hardest horses to catch in Australia but off last run it is very hard to dismiss her. Nudge will be ripping home, while Snapdancer has been in extremely good form but will need plenty of luck from the car park draw.

1. Snapdancer (21)

The main question for Snapdancer is where too from barrier 21? Has plenty of talent but has to be a query from the draw and over the trip. At the moment looks under the odd given how much needs to fall into place for her however there is no denying her talent and she can still take this out with luck.

2. Shout The Bar (2)

Shout The Bar can mix its form but also manages to pop up at very unexpected times. It felt like yesterday it nabbed the highly promising Odeum on the line and surprised plenty, in the mix to be doing similar here.

3. Annavisto (11)

Annavisto is a major player and always produces extremely good runs when fresh. Barrier 11 is okay and the trials have been excellent however I am a little surprised of the jockey booking. Top 4 hope and very hard to beat if she settles and produces what she has been in her trials.

4. Away Game (17)

Can be hitting the line hard but from barrier 17 will need luck and an absolute peach from William Pike. Can win, however chances dimmed by the barrier draw. Top 4 hope.

5. Kiku (10)

Has a strong chance in this field. Does need to find more off its last efforts however Waller knows how to time them for the big races and demands respect here getting a trail from barrier 10. When on song, has the turn of foot to take this race out.

6. Vangelic (8)

Needs to improve off current efforts.

7. Nudge (19)

Has the ability to take this race out and Nudge does enjoy racing in Brisbane. Ran 2nd in this race last year and had 2 wins in the lead up to that. Nudge requires a good steer from barrier 19 and Nash is a good booking for that. Very hard to beat in this field with no Tofane in the race this year.

8. Brooklyn Hustle (13)

Knocking on the door more than anything in Australia and continually received support every single start. I have saved my pennies not backing her the last 10 starts however still weary that if Brooklyn Hustle produces anything like its last run it goes awfully close. The question is, that’s been the case for many, many of its starts and still hasn’t been able to recapture another win. Hard to trust but hard to dismiss.

9. Wandabaa (9)

Should be thereabouts again and maps for a nice trail. Wandabaa tends to be in the finish more often than not and holds each way appeal.

10. Atishu (5)

Can take this out from the good draw and likeable formlines. Keep an eye on the market as there are multiple stablemates engaged and would be handy to see where the market leans late. Capable and a top 4 player.

11. Charmmebaby (20)

Going along so well and has such a good turn of foot. Huge leap up here, prefer others.

12. Written Beauty (18)

Brings in class, just can not seem to draw a gate. Capable of taking this out with luck from the draw and well over the odds at $31.00.

13. Yamazaki (15)

Can’t have.

14. Palaisipan (14)

Going along well and certainly has to be respected. Strong win in the Dane Ripper and can go close here.

15. Bring The Ransom (16)

Hasn’t been copping good rides of late. Barrier 16 doesn’t make things easy but Brock Ryan knows how to win a big race, not dismissing.

16. Startanes (7)

Tough to catch from a punting perspective given Startantes loves to settle in awkward spots and give herself everything to do. That being said, is capable when the gaps open and things fall into place.

17. Enchanted Heart (1)

Can’t have.

18. Salateen (3)

Has good upside but prefer in something easier.

19. Dzsenifer (12)

Prefer others.

20. April Rain (16)

Too hard to catch and this doesn’t look the suitable race. Prefer a few of the stable mates.

21. Tycoon Evie (4)

Can’t have.
