Tattersall’s Gold Crown – 2022

A small field takes place this year with the clear favourite Our Intrigue drawn the pole position and hardest to beat coming off some strong runs. Elusive Jewel is finding it hard to win but rarely puts in a poor performance while Rebel Rama and Little Mix can give some competition. Little tempo engaged and expecting a strategical affair.

1. Our Intrigue (1)

All about the favourite here. Drawn well, brings in the right form & if at its best should be far too good for this bunch. Deserves to be clear favourite and will take a power of beating with an in form Pike in the saddle.

2. Nothinsweetaboutme (7)  – SCRATCHED

3. Rebel Rama (8)

Hard to catch but does like this trip and can pounce on them late. Top 4 contendor.

4. Lunasnit (9)  – SCRATCHED

5. Elusive Jewel (5)

Always had plenty of time for Elusive Jewel but it has been struggling to put a race away. Can win but needs to find the podium and continually burns punters. Danger to the favourite.

6. Endorphins (6)

1/1 over the trip which is ideal however doesn’t bring in the right form. Prefer others.

7. Taaffeite (4)

Could surprise these if it finds a few lengths and in small fields that does tend to happen often however I prefer others.

8. Tictoc Tictoc (3)

Can’t have.

9. Little Mix (2)

Going along well and maps nicely.  Has to be in the mix and has good upside however the favourite does seem to have the stronger form.
