Taj Rossi Series Final 2022 Preview
Track: Soft Weather: Fine
A wide open field with a mix of formlines. Both Kings Consort and Quang Tri had a good dueling battle last start and that is often a good form race for this. Capital Elle brings in some strong ratings and will take beating while the upside lays with the likes of Grinzinger Bishop, Magnaspin and Anphina. Hard to gauge the tempo but they should roll along at a good clip.

1. Kings Consort (2)
Had the right run but could not stave off Quang Tri. In better at the weights here and drawn to perfection. Demands respect and should be in the finish.
2. Grinzinger Bishop (1)
Liked the last start win when the blinkers were added. That could be the key and Grinzinger Bishop will be afforded every chance from the draw. Likeable at odds.
3. Magnaspin (7)
Unlucky last run but did put up a good fight finishing 2nd to Grinzinger Bishop. That is the right form and Magnaspin should be fighting out the finish.
4. Quang Tri (9)
Was too good for Kings Consort and didn’t have an amazing run in transit when forced wide early. The will to win was outstanding without everything going right. Smart filly that will take beating again.
5. Hoops (6)
Won well last start, albeit on a heavy track which will not be the case here. Newitt gets aboard and finds a winnable stakes race.
6. Ostile (13)
Prefer others.
7. Skyphios (3)
Likeable debut run and can build off that performance. Harder here and will need to find a ratings spike but has plenty of scope and can take this out.
8. Anphina (5)
No luck last start. The stable do have a large opinion of this filly and maps for a better run in transit against this lot. Can bounce back at healthy odds.
9. Capital Elle (11)
Like Capital Elle’s chances. Its will to win was excellent but the run also rated through the roof and clear of this bunch. NSW form always stands up in Victoria and the stable are absolutely on fire at the moment. Go well.
10. Zoe’s Promise (8)
Prefer others.
11. Winning Bid (10)
Sound debut but will need to find more to threaten.
12. Fairy Spirit (12)
Okay last start but others have stronger claims. Respect any market moves.
13. Transzam (4)
Prefer others.
14. Midnight Glow (14)
This looks too tough.
