2022 Jungle Dawn Classic Race Details
Race 7 at Ascot on Saturday 3rd December 2022.
The Jungle Dawn Classic is a Listed race over 1400 metres at Ascot. It is a set weights plus penalties race for fillies and mares run by the Western Australian Turf Club in early December. It is held on Northerly Stakes day and has prizemoney of $125,000 this year.

Jungle Dawn Classic 2022 Preview

There are 10 mares lining up for the $125,000 Jungle Dawn Classic, with two 4YOs, four 5YOs and four 6YOS. Six runners had their last start in the Listed Jungle Mist Classic over 1200m at Ascot on 19 November, while the rest came via different races. Two are first-up from a spell. Trainer Neville Parnham has two runners.
The early favourite is Ginger Flyer who resumes from a 15 week spell and won 3 in a row at Belmont at the end of last campaign. Second favourite is Vane Tempest who came from last to finish 4.9 lengths 6th in the Jungle Mist with fast closing splits. Third favourite is Real Grace who ran 3rd in the Jungle Mist. Sentimental Queen resumes from a 30 week spell, goes well fresh and has been trialling well, while Buzzoom finished 5th in the Jungle Mist. The other runners are currently 10 to 1 or longer.
