Track: Good Weather: Cloudy

All eyes on Chinny Boom who has been outstanding thus far and looks to have a very bright future. It should lead these up and be very hard to catch, even money seems a generous price. Stroll has good ability and a very good turn of foot. It is bound to make its presence felt while Exo Lady is proven at this level and Almaria is another with good upside that is over the odds. The tempo should be solid.

1. Exo Lady (12)

Exo Lady is the class of the field and Byrne knows the horse extremely well. Barrier 12 isn’t ideal but it is 1/1 at Doomben, has 4 wins from 10 career starts on the board and will be pouring on the pressure from the outset.

2. Stroll (7)

Stroll remains the main danger to Chinny Boom. It was a pass mark fresh and did win well 2nd up. The 1200 is a suitable trip and Thornton has had a feel for the horse twice now. Top 2 chance.

3. Chinny Boom (1)

Chinny Boom is an exciting prospect that is yet to taste defeat. The stable have declined the offers from Hong-Kong to sell and it is a horse with a stack of ability. From barrier 1 it should roll to the front and give a massive sight. I am surprised even money is on offer. Clear on top.

4. Honkytonky Diva (14)

Can’t have.

5. Ekaterina (4)

Smart galloper that is drawn well and is having a good prep but has to find a few lengths on some of these. Prefer others.

6. Russian Warrior (15)

Can’t have.

7. Tequila Dancer (10)

Like the form around Tequila Dancer and any give in the ground is a positive, it is 3 wins from 4 goes on soft tracks. Collett will need some luck from the draw, place chance.

8. Minks Star (9)

Prefer in something a little easier.

9. Hoot ‘N’ Holler (3)

Can’t have.

10. Almaria (5)

Almaria has good upside and ran well behind a smart one last start. Up in weight in a race that looks no easier has to be the query but Thornton knows the horse well and she hasn’t missed the quinella aboard. Top 4 player.

11. Saweetie (8)

Didn’t get the best of it when stuck on a wide run first up. Maloney is 1/1 aboard and this race is within reach. The $41.00 is large.

13. Sweet Fantasy (2)

Can’t have.

14. Yalla (11)

Won well and debut without much going right. Angela Jones will need some luck from the draw and this race is much harder but it goes in this mix.

15. Sunshine In Paris (6)

Superb win on debut and the form out of it has been good since. The Loy and Nesham combination are always a force and it should run a bold race in this.
