JRA Plate 2023 Race Details
Race 6 at Randwick Racecourse on Saturday the 15th of April 2023.
The JRA Plate is a Group 3 race held at Randwick Racecourse and is run over 2000 metres. It is run under quality handicap conditions and is for horses aged three-years-old and older. The total prize money is $200,000 this year.

JRA Plate 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
A wide open field with plenty of chances. Protagonist will enjoy getting back out to the 2000. Sunshine Rising has been around the mark this prep and will take some holding out while Diamil will need plenty of luck from the barrier but has the talent to feature.
JRA Plate 2023 Runner by Runner
1. Huetor (4)
Loves this track and trip and has a very good record with Mcevoy aboard. Has to lift on form but finds the right race to do so.
2. Sunshine Rising (6)
Due for another win and gets a good chance in this. Strong record on soft footing and doesn’t mind this trip.
3. Mount Popa (13)
Can’t have.
4. Protagonist (11)
Major player in this coming back to the 2000. Should be hitting the line hard and has won 4 times from 7 goes over this trip. Hard to beat.
5. Lion’s Roar (2)
Expected more last run. Keep an eye on the market.
6. Bankers Choice (15)
Should improve in this and gets the right race. Strong 4th up record and commands respect.
7. Diamil (17)
Will need a stack of luck from barrier 17 but has the talent and is 1/1 over this track and trip. The J-Mac booking is a decent push to its chances. Just needs even luck from the draw.
8. Great House (3)
Can give this a shake on its best form. Keep an eye on the market for any moves.
9. Serpentine (16)
Can’t have.
10. Southern France (7)
Prefer others.
11. Cade Du Noir (18)
Prefer others in this.
12. Pride Of Jenni (9)
Has to lift off last start but finds a slightly weaker race and goes in the mix.
13. Bois D’argent (1)
Needs to lift off last start but gets barrier 1 and a suitable race to do so. Worth keeping safe in a winnable affair.
14. Pink Ivory (5)
Every chance last run but gets a comparable field in this and can show more. Hard to beat if on song.
15e. Quality Time (8)
Capable galloper that is unbeaten third up and has won over this trip. Goes in the mix.
16e. Bellatrix Black (12)
Had every hope last run and this race is no easier. Prefer others.
17e. Honeycreeper (10)
Can hit the line hard with the light weight. Keep safe in a winnable affair.
