Finished fourth in the Vobis Gold Rush at Bendigo last start. Prior she dead heated with Seradess at Bendigo who subsequently won by a big space at Morphettville at her next start. One of the chances.
Returned from a spell with a convincing all the way win by 3.5 lengths at Cranbourne. That win rated well – she is right in the mix here.
3. Champagne Dreams
This filly trained by Wayne Francis and Glen Kent won her only start impressively by 2.3 lengths at Morphettville. She is a leading chance again here.
Has been placed at two of her three starts but was beaten some 7.3 lengths behind Seradess last time. Also has a wide barrier to negotiate.
Did quite a good job to sit outside the lead and get the upper hand late on debut at Port Lincoln in February. The horse she beat has since run second at Morphettville. Tricky horse to assess especially given she has had 7 weeks off but she is from a leading stable and should be respected here.
6. Scream Queen
Resumed at Bendigo in the Vobis Gold Rush, she started big odds and was safely held there but will be better for the run.
7. Princess Raffles
Has finished third at both starts this preperation. From barrier 9 she likely has to drift back and give them a decent start here.
8. Isles Of Avalon
Debutant from the Andrew Noblet barn at Ballarat. She has looked good at all 3 jump outs in Victoria. The latest she fought tooth and nail all the way down the straight with Prince Alexander who was well backed on debut at Moonee Valley. Fit enough to run well.
Debutant trained by Dion Koch at Strathalbyn. She has had one Morphettville trial where she lead them up and kicked away to win by 5 lengths. Looks to have some good ability.
This daughter of Star Turn was a $90,000 purchase. She has had one start where she was beaten 9.1 lengths at Morphettville. Hard to recommend off that.
