The Roses 2023 Race Details
Race 9 at Doomben Racecourse on Saturday the 20th of May 2023.
The Roses Cup is a Group 2 race held at Doomben Racecourse and is run over 2000 metres. It is for fillies aged three-years-old and is run under set weight conditions. The total prize money is $300,000 this year.

The Roses 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Starliner goes on top. Enormous run in open company last prep and has come back super this time around. The $27.00 is looming around a large price. The best version of Fireburn would be very hard to hold out in this race. Premise is going along well and should be hard to beat while the favourite Renaissance Woman has good upside and will do no work from the draw.

Its best would take this out but has been plagued by tricky draws constantly and is much the same here. Needs luck but can win.
2. Wolverine (21) – SCRATCHED
3. Renaissance Woman (1)
Excellent win last start and hard to knock off the back of that. Should be hard to hold out and gets all the favours from barrier 1.
4. Tyresa (2)
Can’t have.
5. Noah’N’ A Deel (17)
Prefer others.
6. Premise (4)
Having a consistent prep and gets its chance in this from the good draw. Hard to hold out if it can secure a good run in transit and this race is ideal.
7. Sakura Girl (6)
NZ raider that is a market watch here. Can win.
8. Super Chilled (18)
Racing very well and finds the right race here. Will need some luck from the barrier but good enough to go close.
9. Madame Odette (15)
Going well but comes up short enough and gets not favours from the draw. Happy to avoid at the price.
10. Proscenium Arch (7)
Going along okay and suited to this trip. Respect any market moves.
11. Fall For Cindy (14)
Form wasn’t franked Wednesday and does come up with a tricky draw. Respect any market moves.
12. Reo (3)
Keeps winning but bumps into a tricky race here. Has claims from the kind draw. Worth keeping safe.
13. Starliner (8)
Goes on top. Brilliant last prep in open company without much luck and has put 2 wins on the board in the country. Nash is an ideal booking. Hard to beat.

Can’t have it the way it is going.
