Sir Monash Stakes 2022 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
A dash up the straight where they will go fast. Oxley Road has the right form, class and simply looks well placed to record another career win. Mileva flies fresh and brings in strong claims while Ashford Street is looking to continue its picket fence. Expecting them to go along at a good clip.
Sir Monash Stakes 2022 Runner by Runner
1. Aysar (10)
Impossible to catch but certainly has the talent and this is the right race for it. Tricky to trust but wouldn’t shock one bit if it won.
2. William Thomas (11)
Has class but needs to lift.
3. Sartorial Splendor (6)
Racing well enough to figure but due for a win. Respect any market moves.
4. Oxley Road (5)
Hard to beat. Oxley Road is a very classy sprinter. Flies fresh, loves the track and quite simply has a class edge on the field. Deserves to be favourite.
5. Ashford Street (9)
Brings in the right form and continues to win. Hasn’t missed the quinella over the track and trip and is racing in fine form. Big chance.
6. Outlaws Revenge (7)
Going okay but prefer others in this.
7. How Womantic (8)
Big return and pulled up lame last start. Can certainly bounce back in this at odds. Keep safe.
8. Mileva (3)
Danger to the favourite and the market has this race quite accurate. Mileva is 1/1 over the track and trip and has only been beaten once fist up. Big claims.
9. Felicia (4)
Can sprint well fresh and drawn nicely to camp just off the speed or lead these up. Wouldn’t surprise and loves racing at the track. Major player.
10. Bless Her (1)
Has a strong record over the track and trip but yet to find the winners podium from 9 goes on good footing. Needs it wet.
11. Rainbiel (2)
Going okay but prefer others.
