2023 Miss Andretti Stakes Runner by Runner

1. Uni Time (5)

This 7YO gelding resumed from a long 61 week break to finish 8.6 lengths last of 9 in the Summer Scorcher. He was at the back of the field all the way after a slow start. Should improve second-up.

2. Wilchino (4)

This mare has won 9 of her 17 starts, with 5 wins at this track. Her first 2 runs this campaign were disappointing but her 2nd in the Summer Scorcher last start showed a return to form. Should figure in the finish.

3. How’s The Serenity (6)

Led all the way to win the Summer Scorcher by 1.3 lengths when resuming from a spell. Loves this track and has a solid second-up record. A winning chance again.

4. Express Time (3)

This mare has won 11 of her 31 starts but hasn’t done better than 3rd in 5 runs this preparation. Looking elsewhere.

5. Carocapo (1)

Finished 2nd in this race in 2021. He’s now a nine-year-old and resumed from a spell to run equal 3rd in the Summer Scorcher. He really tried hard in that race and generally improves second-up. Has barrier 1 and it wouldn’t surprise to see him in the finish.

6. Long Beach (7)

Ran 3,3 lengths 6th in the Summer Scorcher and has won 2 of 6 second-up. Can improve on last start.

7. Strathmore Rose (2)

This 5YO mare won her last 2 starts at Albany – one win was by 4.6 lengths, Likes to lead so will make her presence felt in this race. Don’t dismiss.
