Magic Millions 3YO Guineas – 2023

Track: Good Weather: Good

Plenty of chances in this field. Yellow Brick is a winning machine and gets the nice draw and likeable map. Russian Conquest comes out of the Gosford Guineas and finds the right race with the right jockey while Spiritualised found form again last start but will need a bit to go right from the draw. Hell I Am is good when its at its best but will need to lift off last run and Soothsayer is absolutely airborne and must be respected against these.

1. Tijuana (7)

Brings in some strong form lines and must be respected in this with Mark Zahra doing the steering from barrier 7. This race is well and truly within reach fresh and its worth respecting the market.

2. Fashion Legend (18)

Continues to win but barrier 18 may present some problems. Will need some luck in running but going well enough to be a place chance.

3. Kings Consort (2)

Kings Consort looks an excellent roughie in this. It worked to the line well last start and maps to get plenty of favours from the draw. This race is within reach, the $26.00 looks large and it should enjoy this trip.

4. Yellow Brick (5)

Hard to knock how Yellow Brick has been going. It is an absolute winning machine and gets its chance to notch up another win here from the nice draw. Harder company but looks well primed to continue the picket fence.

5.  Spiritualised (16)

Strong winner last start after getting to the front and proving too nippy. Getting across from the wide draw is pivotal to its chances. This race is suitable, the $9.50 looks about the right price.

6. Soothsayer (19)

Airborne this prep and can play a role in this race with luck from the draw. Thornton is 3/4 aboard and its a positive sign that he sticks for this race.

7. Hell I Am (11)

Expected a bit more from Hell I Am last start after being left flat footed. Jamie Kah is an eye catching booking and it does bring in some class to the race. Keep safe in this packed field.

8. Mishani Warfare (4)

Can’t have.

9. Cusack (12)

This looks too tricky.

10. Green Shadows (13)

Struggling to break through this prep but this race is no easier. Looks a solid place chance but hard to trust for the win.

11. Northern Express (15)

Can’t have.

12. Stroll (10)

Took the scalp of Chinny Boom 2 runs back and is having an excellent prep. Left a little flat last run but it finds the right race and Craig Williams does the steering from the tricky draw.

13. Tyresa (6)

Not hopeless at odds. Had a bit go wrong last start but can certainly measure up to this bunch and gets favours from the draw.

14. Russian Conquest (9)

J-Mac booked, ran well recently in the Gosford Guineas and that kind of form should hold strong here. Nice draw to get a tow into the race and will be finishing off hard. Like its chances.

15. Latakia (3)

The new kid on the block who made it two from three last start with a very neat turn of foot. Much harder here but a highly progressive type that looks up these and gets Tim Clark and a lovely draw.

16e. Shalailed (20)

Prefer others.

17e. Weathy Investor (17)

Cant have.

18e. Mishani Persuasion (1)

Filling in the numbers.

19e. West Of Africa (8)

Hoped for a bit more last start. Has quality but will not find this any easier than last run. Respect any market moves.

20e. Hellavadncer (14)

Can’t have.
