Ming Dynasty Quality 2023 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
Not a lot between these. Despite not being well weighted Encap does appeal in this. Needs some luck from the inside barrier but should have beaten most of these last start. Tom Kitten beat Encap home and is well weighted but got the rub of the green. Kintyre has an awful draw but comes through the same race and can make his presence felt. Ashfall has plenty of quality and upside while Griff has claims despite the wide barrier. Even race.
Ming Dynasty Quality 2023 Runner by Runner
1. Tannhauser (9)
Maps tricky but was good to finish off last prep and comes into this with some claims.
2. Townsend (12)
Tough draw but gets the in form jockey. Would have to lift on form but goes in the mix.
3. Tom Kitten (15)
Strong winner last start and hard to knock. Did have things fall into place for it but nicely weighted, albeit the draw won’t be easy.
4. Infatuation (8)
Has to find more this prep.
5. Encap (1)
Good thing licked last start. Barrier 1 isn’t great but if Prebble is prominent enough early this race is well and truly within reach.
6. Ceolwulf (6)
Up in grade but good win last start. Keep safe.
7. Griff (14)
Racing well and has very good upside. Needs luck from the draw but this race suits.
8. Extreme Spirit (10) – SCRATCHED
9. Vomo Island (5)
Can’t have.
10. Steel Blaze (2)
Prefer others.
11. Zardozi (16)
Has to lift off last run but gets its chance here. Tough draw but expect better than last start.
12. Congregation (11)
Prefer others.
13. Kintyre (18)
Tough draw but going along well and gets the gun jockey. Has claims.
14. Cage Millenium (17)
Can’t have.
15. Ducasse (19)
Too risky with the draw.
16. Cap Ferrat (3)
Racing well but does look out of depth in this.
17. Raf Attack (13)
Good win last start but harder here. Maps tricky with a stack of speed.
18. Ashfall (4)
Strong upside, kind draw and good rider. This race suits and the $11.00 is slightly over the odds.
