Two runners had their last start in the Listed WA Breeders’ Classic over 1208m at Bunbury on 4th February (won by Petula) and two in a 3YO Open Set Weights With Penalties over 1200m at Ascot on 27th January (won by Snippy Which) while the rest came via different races. Trainer David Harrison has 3 runners , Simon Miller has 3 runners and Sean & Jake Casey have two.

2024 Magic Millions WA 3YO Trophy Runner by Runner

1. Snow Prince (6)

Resumes here from a 13 week spell and won a recent Belmont trial by 1.5 lengths. Can go well fresh and wouldn’t surprise to see him in the prizemoney.

2. Stormchaser (1)

The short-prices early favourite who has 4 wins and 3 places from his 8 starts and was a narrow 2nd in the  Listed WA Breeders’ Classic over 1208m at Bunbury on 4th February (won by Petula) after 2 successive wins at Ascot. Drawn perfectly and the clear top pick.

3. Leading Taddy (4)

Faded to finish 7th last start In the WA Breeders but had been racing well before that and has placed at Group 3 level. In the mix.

4. Bondi Bubbles (11)

Comes here following 6 straight wins at Esperance Bay. This is obviously harder but he’s been racing so well he has to be included in the chances.

5. Rocket Juice (12)

At his latest start he ran 3rd in a 3YO Open Set Weights With Penalties over 1200m at Ascot on 27th January (won by Snippy Which). He has had 7 starts this preparation for a win and 5 places. Place chance.

6. Eliteone (14)

Finished 6th behind Snippy Which last start. Has won one of his 4 starts and has drawn very wide. Prefer others.

7. Hot Puddin (16)

Both his wins have been at Esperance. Could struggle from the wide barrier and looks tested.

8. Moorditj Boy (7)

Led until overhauled in the last 100m and finished runner-up over 1200m at Belmont at his latest start. Not the worst.

9. Salt Lake Shake (5)

Has a win and a place from his 3 starts and has good early speed. Could surprise.

10. Magnasonic (15)  – scratched

11. Shooting Spirit (2)

Showed ability in his first preparation of only 2 races for a win at Ascot then 4.5 lengths off the winner in the Listed Fairetha Stakes and resumes here after 14 weeks. Has had a quite trial and has had support in the early markets. Place chance.

12. Struck By Luck (3)

Both races have been at Geraldton, where he placed on debut.Gets winkers back on and is nicely drawn. Unlikely.

13. Guarding Heaven (10)

One of only 2 runners to have won at this track (the other is Leading Taddy). Wouldn’t surprise to see her in the finish.

14. Siberian Siren (9)

Has had a 6 week let-up and has a win and a place from 4 starts. In the mix.

15. Rubick Lass (8)

Still a maiden after 7 starts. Appears tested.

16. Right To Silence (13)

Still a maiden and drawn wide. Looking elsewhere.

17e. Sassy Roxy (17)  – scratched
