Open race. The best of Golden Mile would give this a shake and there is good appeal in the price. Phearson has halved in price and looks well placed against this bunch. Whinchat has returned in good order and can notch up another win. Kovalica has plenty of ability and can take this out while Coal Crusher will land on the speed and give them something to catch.

Capable runner who has claims fresh. Keep an eye on the market.

Can lob on the speed and give a sight. Brilliant last start run and can go one better here.

3. Golden Mile (7)

Handy odds and looks well placed in this company. Had a few excuses last prep and can come back more improved off a freshen up. This race suits.

4. Kovalica (4)

Maps well from the draw and looks nicely placed in this company. McDonald does the steering and keen to see how it goes off the break.

5. Democracy Manifest (11)

Resumes and has plenty of ability. Capable runner who will be primed to go in this and the wide draw isn’t too much of a negative with its pattern.

6. New Energy (3)

Import who has jumped out well. Monitor the market moves.

7. Acquitted (8)

Put together 2 good wins in a row. Harder here but racing in good fashion and suited to this field.

8. Phearson (6)

Has had plenty of early support and maps to get a good time of it from barrier 6. Hard to beat off a break and was. very good multiple times last prep.

9. Caesars Palace (2)

Can’t have.

10. Dark Dream (9)

Prefer others.

11. Hard To Say (1)

Maps for a nice time from barrier 1 and has been well backed in early markets. Goes close.

12. Moravia (5)  – scratched

13. Whinchat (13)

Has come back super this prep and can score a hat trick. Much harder here and drawn wide but this race suits. Hard to beat.
