A few solid chances in this. Rothfire has bounced back to form and will be hard to hold out. It can be sent straight forward from barrier 7. Vilana goes in the mix while a dry track is a good recipe for Converge who maps for every chance. A Case Of You looks poised to run well from the kind draw while the best version of Paulele would give this a shake.

Still racing well and is better on the fresh side. Expect the old fella to bowl forward and give a bold sight. Can win.

Import that boasts very good form lines and should give this race a shake from the kind draw. Hard to beat!

3. Paulele (16)

Ran 2nd in this race last year. Probably not at his best but still racing well. Barrier 16 makes life tricky but with even luck he can figure in the finish.

4. Rothfire (7)

Class act that is back at his best. Should land up on speed and prove hard to beat.

5. Vilana (13)

Classy runner that is better than last start. Suited by the rise in trip and just needs a tow into it at the right time.

6. Converge (1)

Classy runner that has options from barrier 1. Should be able to lob into a lovely spot and this race is a suitable target. Hard to hold out.

7. King Of Sparta (2)

Class act that gets a kind draw and suitable map. Suited to this field and will take beating.

8. Kirwan’s Lane (15)

Going along okay but prefer others.

9. Eleven Eleven (15)

Finished 3rd in this race last year. May be outclassed in this. Leaning to others.

10. Gentleman Roy (18)

On pacer that is tough as nails. Should give a sight out in front.

11. Think About It (8)

Just keeps winning and can add to the tally in this. Hard to beat.

12. Emerald Kingdom (4)

This looks too tough.

13. Alpine Edge (17)

Prefer others.

14. The Inferno (9)

Can’t have.

15. Promise Of Success (12)  – SCRATCHED

16. Palisipan (19)

Wont’ be easy from there. Leaning to others.

17. Chaillot (11)

Sparingly raced. Has a booming turn of foot and good enough to pounce on these late.

Prefer others.

Flying but huge leap in class here. Prefer others.
