2020 Flight Stakes Race Details
Race 5 at Randwick on Saturday 3 October 2020.
The Flight Stakes is a 1600 metre set weight race for three-year-old fillies run by the Australian Jockey Club at Randwick. It is held on the same day as the Group 1 Epsom Handicap.

Flight Stakes 2020 Preview
Track: Good Weather: Fine
There is a field of seven runners for the $500,000 Flight Stakes and five of them had their last start in the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes over 1400m on 19 September. The early favourite is the Chris Waller trained Hungry Heart who has finished 2nd in both the Furious Stakes over 1200m and the Tea Rose Stakes over 1400m. Second favourite is Dame Giselle who has three wins from three starts this campaign with the G2 Silver Shadow Stakes, the Furious Stakes and the Tea Rose Stakes. Third favourite is Montefilia who finished 4th in the Tea Rose and had the best 800m-200m race sectionals.
Vangelic finished 4th in the Furious and 3rd in the Tea Rose. Joviality has won three races in a row at Warwick Farm (1300m, 1100m and 1300m). Miravalle won a 1400m maiden at Warwick Farm then finished 7th in the Tea Rose. Alighted has raced three times and is still a maiden.
