Bernborough Plate – 2022

Track: Good Weather: Good

A wide open field for this years edition and the market is being lead by Aramayo who should appreciate the dry track and brings in some good open company form. It maps well and profiles well to be taking this out. Zou De Moon comes up with barrier 1 and maps for a lovely run in transit for Craig Williams while Skyman is a model of consistency and has a good turn of foot. This race is within reach for it and Ryan Maloney jumps aboard for the first time. There doesn’t look to be much tempo in this race, Zou De Moon should be finding the front with ease.

1. London Banker (5)

Starting to hit form again after losing its way a bit. James Orman is 5/9 aboard and London Banker is 4/6 on this track so he brings in some formidable stats and will be hard to beat.

2. Skyman (4)

Skyman is going better than its form reads and should relish the drop in grade. It has been contesting some strong open company races and should find this assignment much more to its liking. Keep safe from the kind draw.

3. Aramayo (3)

Aramayo goes on top in this. Morgan has options from the draw and the key to Aramayo is racing on a good track which it should get here. Expect it to be hard to hold out in what is an easier race than what it has been contesting.

4. Seat Of Power (2)

Seat Of Power has been a model of consistency lately and should run well from the kind draw. I’d rather be backing it later in the prep but keep an eye on the market for any significant moves.

5. Dashing Willoughby (8)

Can’t have.

6. Linthorpe Lad (10)

Linthorpe Lad just missed out behind London Baker last run and this race is similar. The barrier is a concern but with the map it may be able to sit outside leader and be handy in the run. From there it should give a bold sight.

7. Ma And Pa (9)  – SCRATCHED

8. Dzsenifer (6)

Liked the last start effort when making ground off the leaders but the drop in trip doesn’t seem ideal. It does have a good record over this track and trip but might find it a bit hard to pick them up with the rail out. Place chance.

9. Zou De Moon (1)

Zou De Moon can be dangerous in this race. It strikes a field with not much pace so expect it to be landing right up on the speed and it will be tricky to catch if able to dictate terms up front, especially with the rail out.

10. Grand Rumore (7)

Should be ready to peak here third up and does have a touch of class but is due for another win. Expect a bold run but leaning to others at this stage.
