Our Randwick Horse Racing Tips for the weekend.

Day 2 of The Championships with four Group 1 races, three Group 2 races, two Listed races and the Provincial Championship.

Converge (Randwick Race 1 No. 1)
This two-year-old Frankel gelding trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott has one wins and one place from three starts. He resumed from a 13 week break for 1.3 lengths 6th in the Group 3 Pago Pago Stakes over 1200m at Rosehill on 13 March, then was no match for the winner in the final 100m when 1.8 lengths 2nd in the Group 3 TL Baillieu Handicap over 1400m at Rosehill on 3 April, but beat the rest comfortably. Should be fitter now and can win.

Each Way

Arcaded (Randwick Race 4 No. 1):

This two-year-old Street Boss filly trained by James Cummings has won three of her four starts. She jumped awkwardly, settled midfield then just plugged from the 200m for 9.1 lengths 11th in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes over 1200m a Caulfield on 20 February, then took over at the 250m and kept going for a 1.3 length win in the Group 3 Magic Night Stakes over 1200m at Rosehill on 13 March. She is a lovely filly who looks a great each-way bet.

$7.50

Realm Of Flowers (Randwick Race 7 No. 13):

This four-year-old So You Think mare trained by Anthony Freedman has started once at the 3200m for a close 2nd in the Sandown Cup in November, and came from well back for 0.3 length 2nd in the G3 Manion Cup over 2400m on 27 March where she had the best overall race sectionals. She meets the winner of that race slightly better at the weights and is a solid each-way bet in the Sydney Cup.

Best Lay

Harmony Rose (Randwick Race 5 No. 4):
This Glass Harmonium filly has three wins and three place from six starts and is the early favourite in the Group 1 Australian Oaks for three-year-old fillies over 2400m. She loomed up at the 200m and finished 1.3, 0.3 lengths 3rd in the G1 Randwick Guineas over 1600m om 6 March, then led nearly all the way until claimed late for 0.2 length 2nd in the G1 Vinery Stud Stakes over 2000m at Rosehill on 3 April. The distance is a query and I am prepared to risk her here.

Key Comments There is a huge 11-race program where the feature is the Group 3 Queen Mother Memorial Cup over 2400m (race 8). The rail is in the B position. There is plenty of rain forecast so the track will be a yielding surface. The first race is at 12.30 pm Hong Kong time which is 2.30 pm AEST. Best Bet Storming Dragon (Sha Tin Race 7 No. 8) Storming Dragon finished a length 3rd at his only start. He’s won a trial

Horse Racing Tips: TAS Sunday 5th May 2024

Key Comments The track is a synthetic tapeta-based surface and weather has minimal effect on how it races. The rail remains in the true position. As a general rule, runners who land in the front half of the field are suited at this track, with a slight advantage to those who land forward of midfield and can find a cart into the race from the wider lanes in the straight. Best Bet Seydoux (Devonport Synthetic Race 5 No. 2) She led all the
