There are 10 two-year-olds for the Without Fear Stakes with two geldings and eight fillies. Two will be having their first start and the rest have had from one to 5 starts. Five of the runners have already won a race. Two of the runners are sired by Shalaa.

The early favourite is Remedies trained by James Cummings who ran 3rd in the Listed Dequetteville Stakes over 1050m at Morphettville last start on 15th April. Second favourite is Chilled who has a win and 3 places from her 4 starts. Third favourite is Down Low who was 5th at Sandown at her only start and resumes after 21 weeks. Putanothercoinin is a first-starter who won a recent trial at Murray Bridge, while Iphimedia led all the way to win her only start at Terang. The rest of the runners are currently over $10.

2. Tropopause (7)

First-starter who finished 6 lengths 5th in a recent Murray Bridge trial. Watch the early betting.

3. Remedies (3)

Godolphin runner who has a win and 2 places from her 5 starts. Finished 2.9 lengths 3rd in the Listed Dequetteville Stakes over 1050m at Morphettville on 15th April. One of the main chances.

4. Chilled (8)

One of two runners sired by Shalaa (the other is Lunasha), and the only runner in the field to have won at this track. She won over 1100m here on 1 April, then finished 0.7 length 2nd over 1200m at Mornington where she only went down late. Back to a shorter distance she should be hard to beat.

5. Iphimedia (2)

Led all the way for a length win on a heavy track at her only start at Terang. Don’t dismiss.

6. Acappella Moon (10)

Won over 1000m at Morphettville Parks at her 2nd start, then knuckled at the start before 3.2 lengths 5th over 1000m at Sandown Hillside on 15 March. Has had a 7 week let-up. In the mix.

7. Harleen (5)

Has finished in the second half of the field at her last 2 starts. Other runners look to have her measure.

8. Causation (9)

On a seven day back-up and gets blinkers on for the first time. Prefer others.

9. Lunasha (4)

First starter. Prefer to see.

10. Down Low (6)

Was 5th at Sandown at her only start and resumes after 21 weeks. Looking elsewhere.
