Race 9 at Flemington Racecourse on Thursday the 3rd of November 2022.
The Red Roses Stakes is a Group 3 race at Flemington Racecourse on Crown Oaks day and is run over 1100 metres. It is a set weights plus penalties race for three-year-old fillies run by the Victoria Racing Club in October as part of the Melbourne Cup Carnival. The total prize money this year is $300,000.

A full field of sixteen runners plus four emergencies have accepted for this years race. Four runners had their last start in the Group 3 Thoroughbred Club Stakes over 1200m at Caulfield on 8 October, three in the Group 3 Scarborough Stakes over 1200m at Moonee Valleey on 23 September and two in a BM 70 Handicap over 1000m at Moonee Valley on 21 October. The early favourite is emergency runner Greece who was an impressive 4 length winner of a Geelong Maiden Plate at her second race start. Second favourite is English Riviera who won the Thoroughbred Club Stakes last outing. Third favourite is Paris Dior who has 2 wins from 6 starts.
Bound For Home has won two from four starts. Bay Thirteen has been in the quinella at all 4 starts. Exo Lady has won four from nine starts, while La Danseuse Rouge finished 0.4 length 3rd in the Thoroughbred Club Stakes. The other runners are currently 16 to 1 or longer.
